The 45th Japanese Peptide Symposium was held at Tower Hall Funabori in Tokyo on October 29-31, 2008 under the auspices of the Japanese Peptide Society.
The Symposium was a co-operative effort of the following participants: the Chemical Society of Japan; the Pharmaceutical Society of Japan; the Japan Society for Bioscience, Biotechnology, and Agrochemistry; the Japanese Biochemical Society.
Five hundreds thirty-eight participants participated in the Symposium, which consisted of two award lectures, three invited lectures presented by professor Teruo Nishida of Yamaguchi University and by Korean Peptide Society, twenty-six oral presentations, twenty-six young oral presentations, and one hundred sity-five poster presentations.

Protein/Peptide Sequence Database (PRF/SEQDB)

  • This database consists of amino acid sequrences of peptides and proteins.
  • You can search the database with a short amino acid sequence (fragment) as a probe.

Synthesized Compouds Database (PRF/SYNDB)

  • Unnatural amino acids, amino acid derivatives and chemically synthesized peptides are registered.
  • Synthetic intermediates are also collected.
  • You can search literature about chemical synthesis by components and so on.

■Number of entries of databases:

  • LITDB contains 605,931 entries
  • SEQDB contains 1,326,246 entries (436,831,562 residues)
  • SYNDB contains 262,713 entries
as of 2010-03-09.
